Berkshires Week & Shires of Vermont Jan. 2008 to June 2015
For seven and a half years, I wrote regularly and designed magazines in my time as editor of Berkshires Week and then Berkshires Week & Shires of Vermont — a weekly magazine running in the Berkshire Eagle, Bennington Banner and Manchester Journal newspapers. In partnership with a local nonprofit organization, Multicultural Bridge, I also started a series of community profiles, On the Bridge, to bring all kinds of voices to the magazine. Gwendolyn Van Sant at Multicultural Bridge created this series with me and publishe an anthology of these profiles, Berkshire Mosaic, in May 2015.
The magazine has already changed a good deal since I left. Here are a few glimpses from my time there.
