Berkshire Busk — live music downtown

Berkshire Busk brings live music to downtown Great Barrington from the community and beyond on Friday and Saturday nights from July to September.

They also bring live music to the Great Barrington Farmers Market on Saturday mornings, the Lenox Farmers Market on Friday afternoons, and Berkshire Mountain Distillers in Sheffield on Saturday Afternoons from July 1 to – Sept. 2 (rain or shine).

Just Sole!

In Partnership with Jacob’s Pillow On the Road

Starting at 7 pm on Lower Railroad Street

Just Sole! Street Dance Theater Company was founded in Philadelphia in 2010 by Kyle “JustSole” Clark and Dinita “Queen Dinita” Clark. The mission of the group is to use hip hop dance (street dance) of all styles theatrically to inspire, empower, innovate, and motivate others to embrace their story and individuality while teaching the culture and history of hip hop dance. This performance is part of Jacob’s Pillow’s On the Road, a free county-wide performance series that includes events on June 15 in Pittsfield, July 15 in Becket, and July 16 in North Adams.

Raeah Rama

Raeah, a studio art and environmental studies double major at the university of Vermont, has lived in the Berkshires lifelong and as a result has a deep love for the outdoors.

Eric Bascom & Ted Levine

Late Night – 9 pm on Lower Railroad Street
Eric Bascom & Ted Levine will perform an eclectic evening of jazz, blues, originals, along with old and new Standard from the Great American Song Book and Beyond in a special late night performance after Jacob’s Pillow On the Road.

Joanne Magdalena

Joanne Bockemuehl Jackson is a passionate flamenco dancer and teacher/artist, choreographer, as well as a costume designer.
She teaches flamenco dance lessons to children and adults at the Berkshire Pulse Studios in Housatonic, Great Barrington, MA. Her classes focus on building confidence through the expressive abilities of flamenco, which instills a sense of passion and individuality.

She connects each student with their own personal story to tell and journey to live and guides them to find the expression through movement.

She regularly performs is New York City and at the Hudson Valley Flamenco festival.

Naomi

Naomi’s original songs, mostly country-folk in style, exhibit clever wordplay and observations. She has been performing at open mics for the past five years in the Great Barrington area, and was part of the Coop patio series last summer.

Qualia Dance Collective

Qualia Dance Collective seeks to explore the qualities of space, time, and energy as catalysts for movement and art and performs the choreography of Fiona Scruggs. Our work is poetic and classical, smart and inventive. We aim to awaken the imaginations of everyone we meet.

Ryan Leddick

“Soulful, Rhythmic, Folk-Rock”

Based in Troy, NY – Ryan Leddick showcases a collage of musical talents that stop people in their tracks. Blending years of experience, Ryan Leddick weaves his soulful and haunting voice alongside rhythmic guitar lines to create an enticing folk-rock fusion. Having shared the stage with many Broadway notables, Damien Rice, Of Good Nature, and Patty Larkin to name a few you would be remiss if you didn’t see him.ove through music.

Saturday afternoon — July 15, 2 to 4 p.m.

Garrin Benfield

Brooklyn and Hillsdale, NY-based singer songwriter Garrin Benfield has released five full length albums and has been touring nationally since 2000. Employing live looping, Garrin improvises rhythmic jams and soundscapes that emerge organically from his own original songs and eclectic covers.

Bella Santarella

Bella Santarella is thrilled to be a part of this year’s Berkshire Busk! She produces and performs in queer programming throughout New England. Bella has a true passion for building community, sewing costumes, hosting game nights, and showing the joy of self-expression. Check out more from her on IG @bellasantarella

Opal Raven Cirque

Opal Raven is an award-winning performer with over a decade of experience based out of Western Massachusetts. She’s known across New England and the Tri-State area for her “Danger Dame of the Flame” variety show. Also known as the Sword Queen of Gypsy Layne, Opal showcases masterful sword spinning, daring prop tricks, and some say she can even speak to snakes. Opal Raven’s one-woman circus is a unique performance that is sure to keep the audience on the edge of their seats. Welcome to the Circus.

Quiet Houses

Quiet Houses is an alternative rock group hailing from the Pioneer Valley. Blending the sounds of everything from Joni Mitchell to Peter Gabriel to Jeff Buckley, their songs are filled to the brim with thoughtful lyrics and lush soundscapes to create modern progressive songs that can’t help but stick in your head.

Chalk Gremlin Circus

The Chalk Gremlin Circus is made up of 3 local circus artists who have found each other over the years and love performing together. They work in solo, duo, and even trio air and ground acts!

Natalie Lewis

Natalie Lewis is a student musician who plays soft rock from the 1960s and 1970s on acoustic guitar.

Rick and Marilyn

Rick and Marilyn perform Guitar-centric, edgy, acoustic rock music. Rick’s intricate guitar solos support Marilyn’s heartfelt vocals and driving rhythm guitar while they play originals and classic folk/rock songs.

Balloon Ben

Balloon Ben has been twisting and entertaining in Berkshire County and beyond for 11 years. His unique style allows him to meet almost any request. He loves a challenge, so feel free to use your imagination in your requests from this talented Airbender. Your imagination is the limit!
