Berkshire Busk — live music downtown

Berkshire Busk brings live music to downtown Great Barrington from the community and beyond on Friday and Saturday nights from July to September.

They also bring live music to the Great Barrington Farmers Market on Saturday mornings, the Lenox Farmers Market on Friday afternoons, and Berkshire Mountain Distillers in Sheffield on Saturday Afternoons from July 1 to – Sept. 2 (rain or shine).

Abby Lappen

Abby Lappen is an accomplished artist whose unique voice and crisp guitar mesmerize audiences with warmth and agility. Her passion comes alive with a wide range of styles and fluency of a dancer.

GypZbilly

The brainchild of local guitar builder, Kevin Smith: “GypZbilly” performs panoply of music of the last half of the previous century and beyond, deconstructed and reconstructed as rhythmic, acoustic-based music. Gypsy, Jump Blues, Rockabilly, a smattering of Country blues, with a dash of the Carib. Have a smile, move your hips!

Wacky Chad
Stunt Comedian WackyChad! performs his award winning, action-packed, interactive stunt comedy show featuring extreme pogo stick stunts, big tricks and big laughs! WackyChad!’s pogo stick skills, charmingly funny jokes and wild antics got him on America’s Got Talent (Twice!), The Gong Show, Das SuperTalent (Germany), ESPN2 for PogoPalooza(World Championship of Pogo Competition), and a performance at the Super Bowl. WackyChad! has amazed audiences in 26 different countries.

Kevin Devaney

Kevin Devaney is passionate about people experiencing the arts as part of their daily life without gatekeepers or ivory towers. Devaney has been traveling the world with a typewriter and all the words he can fit in his head since 2016, though his study of poetry precedes that wild jump by over two decades.

Jeffrey Kirn is an ambient guitarist and composer of symphonic electronic and film music from Kingston, NY. You can find his work under the artist name Isotherme at iTunes, Spotify and Amazon Music.

Poppy, a traveling artist with a passion for body adornment, sets up on the street and offers henna, and at home in Arizona is also a tattooist.

Dust Bowl Faeries

Dust Bowl Faeries (trio), Dark Carnival Dream Music — “Americana by way of pagan cabaret” Bay Area Reporter — offers a faerie-tale fusion of dark cabaret, gothic polka and post-punk music. Dust Bowl Faeries is a dark-carnival band from the New York Hudson Valley.

The band’s eclectic repertoire of songs draw inspiration from circus songs, murder ballads and Eastern European folk tunes. Accordion, singing saw, acoustic guitar and bass combine to create the Dust Bowl Faeries otherworldly sound. The band was founded by Ryder Cooley (faerie queen) and her taxidermy spirit animal, Hazel the Ram. Ryder and Hazel are joined by Jon B. Woodin (rocket faerie) & Liz LoGiudice (river faerie) for this special trio performance

Galush

Galush is a three time finalist at the American Beatbox championships who specializes in live music production by pairing his voice with technology. His live performances of original music and covers spans the complete sonic palette from the raw voice to a full-band sound all from the mouth!

Natalie Lewis is a student musician who plays soft rock from the 1960s and 1970s on acoustic guitar.

Benjamin Levy

Benjamin Levy is delighted to be performing on the street once again; some of his first performances were several decades(!) ago outside the Crafts Fair at Monument. Since then, he’s appeared everywhere from the Rainbow Room to the White House. But even the most established performers need to break in different material: Come see what’s new!

Scott Damgaard

Scott Damgaard is an acoustic guitarist and singer/songwriter with seven albums out. Scott’s music has many facets and styles, with an emphasis on good lyrics and melodies.

Jacob Shipley

Jacob Shipley writes, sings, and tells stories about the moments in life we’d rather not repeat. Listening to Jacob is like reminiscing with an old friend: not everything was easy, but at least we made it through.
