Berkshire Drum Fest

The 11th annual Berkshire Drum Fest will bring live music to the Windsor Town Park on Peru Road in Windsor, with master drummer and Djembe Fola Namory Keita from Sangbarala, Guinea West Africa.
The drum fest is an annual community experience to gather and celebrate in the spirit of the drum. Keita will lead classes and give a performance at 3 p.m. with the Berkshire Rhythm Keepers, Aimee Gelinas and members of Gaia Roots, to support the Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center, with a world marketplace and refreshments
At 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., Namory Keita will lead an intergenerational drum classes in person.
At 3 p.m., Namory Keita and Berkshire Rhythm Keepers will hold an intergenerational concert in person and on zoom with Aimee Gelinas and members of Gaia Roots.
The festival will support the Tamarack Hollow Nature and Cultural Center’s year round environmental education for all ages and the “Raise the Roof” fund to build a sustainable nature and cultural education center and to continue to conserve 32 acres of highland boreal forest in Windsor for future generations. The rain date is Sunday, September 27.
Tamarack Hollow is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire environmental and cultural awareness, appreciation and stewardship.
