The Clark will offer a ceramics workshop series exploring the expressive qualities of hands in Rodin’s sculptures and drawings.
The group will explore the exhibition Rodin in the United States: Confronting the Modern, and sketch together, talking about how hands convey emotion, thinking about the nature of clay, and then create meaningful personal sculptures. Each person will leave the workshop series with a hand-built glazed hand and a new understanding of Rodin and his work.
You will need to sign up ahead for all four sessions (June 14, 16, 28 and 30), as space is limited.
