Auditory After Hours: Common Folk
June 12 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Saturday, repeating until June 19, 2021
Mass MoCA opens on a summer night for Auditory After Hours: a night out surrounded by 250,000 square feet of art and distance, with the music of the Common Folk Artist Collective,a community of creators and musicians who, like Mass MoCA, call North Adams home.
For this local hero-themed Auditory After Hours, four Common Folk musicians — producer Dan O’Connell, indie rocker Ciarra Fragale, singer-songwriter Melanie Glenn and electro-experimentalist Wallasauce — have joined forces to create a one-of-a-kind soundtrack for the museum’s massive galleries.
Visitors can rotate in at 7, 7:30 and 8 p.m. Get tickets »
You can also choose to dive into the Auditory After Hours’ back catalogue and listen to
experimental hip-hop trio Clipping — Daveed Diggs, William Hutson, and Jonathan Snipes — and their underwater soundscape from December, or Sylvan Esso’s indie-pop soundtrack and more. Just talk with someone on staff when you arrive on the night, to listen to these past Auditory After Hours.
