Dewey Hall and Michael Lesko are partnering to revive a monthly open-mic-meets-variety show with an open creative soirée and a talented headlining act.
The open mic portion allows participants to freely express themselves through storytelling, music, comedy, dance or by simply sharing something about themselves.
For the open creative soirée, craft-makers and visual artists will set up in the hall, inviting attendees to interact with artists in process.
The headliner for each event provides a guaranteed sophisticated performance as the culmination of the evening. This multidisciplinary event creates a rich experience for the artists, performers, and audience.
Show N’ Tell is grounded in the idea that art is a vital form of human expression and connection. It is a safe place for people of all genders, races, ages, and backgrounds to freely express themselves in an inclusive and inspiring environment.
By nourishing artistic expression in a variety of forms, it provides a fertile ground for collaboration and new friendships. The events will be alcohol free to create a nightlife culture that is safe for people in recovery, family-friendly and contributes to the health of the community. Folks attending are always encouraged to mingle, connect and collaborate. We hope children and adults will leave feeling that no creative pursuit is too out of reach with the support of the community.
Show & Tell will continue year round on third Wednesdays: January 18, February 15, March 15, April 19, May 17, June 21, July 19, August 16, September 20, October 18, November 15 and December 20.
You may order hot food at Dewey Hall from a Roberto’s Pizza, and the hall will have non-alcoholic beverages available.
