Log Lunch: Greg Watson on Equity, Land and Community
September 20 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
The Environmental Studies Weekly Lunch Series is back, and everyone is welcome. Today, Greg Watson from the Schumacher Center for a New Economics and former Mass. Commissioner of Agriculture will speak on Equity, Land and Community.
A tradition of the Center since 1972, Log Lunches are held on Fridays through the college year at noon at the Log at 78 Spring St. in Williamstown. Each week, Williams students prepare and serve a vegetarian lunch, followed by a talk on an environmental topic. Students and faculty speak, as well as local, national and international organizations.
Log Lunches are open to the entire Williams College and Williamstown community. Each lunch (soup, salad and homemade bread) is $3, and it is helpful to reserve ahead through the CES website. A semester reservation of $24 covers all 10 fall Log Lunches.
