Dewey Hall is rolling out the return of the People’s Pie Contest with Berkshire Food Co-op and Prairie Whale — taste and vote on your favorite fruit pies in traditional or gluten-free crust categories. Dewey Hall has welcomed anyone in the community to enter. You will also have the chance to win an award winning pie, with live music, beverages and general fun all.
Since this is a people’s choice contest, all comers will be able to taste a selection of pies, and you will vote on your favorites with raffle tickets. (The pies will be displayed without names.) The winner will be the pie with the most raffle tickets. Once the contest winners are selected, raffle drawings will happen for all the pies.
Doors Open at 2 p.m. and voting ends at 3:15, with contest and raffle winners announced at 4. Your ticket lets you taste, vote and enter the raffle, and you can get more tastings and/or raffle tickets (used for pie-voting) with more tickets.
Proceeds from this event support the operation and preservation of the historic Dewey Hall, a center for culture and community in Sheffield.
