The Sheffield Farmers Market will again put on the Winter Market at Dewey Hall on second Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and we are starting one month earlier this year.
You may find pickles, seasonings, garlic and more from Rolling Rock Farm, prepared foods there will be Naji’s Mediterranean Cuisine, baked fresh wheat-free breads and scones from Light Force Bakery, warm beverages from No Comply Foods…
And for the holidays you may see soaps from Concord Hill Farm, handmade gifts, garments and gear from Berkshire Holiday Gnomes, Dylan Kubis Photography, Harry Levenstein Pottery, Joanne Conti, Healing Nest, Barbara’s Jewelry and Stone Soup, and more.
The market will offer our Triple SNAP Match (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), and if you have SNAP tokens leftover, they don’t expire, so come spend them at the winter market.
If you need more tokens, the market can process your EBT card, and they can give you three times as much money to spend at our market, they say, thanks to a grant from Berkshire Agricultural Ventures and donations from Sheffield Agricultural Committee, Bakin’ Bakery, Magic Fluke, Greenagers, Plaskolite, & other local donors.
Berkshire musicians will perform live music each month sponsored by Magic Fluke, beginning on November 12 with a Berkshire Strings ensemble put together by Erika Ludwig.
By the Way Berkshires is a digital magazine exploring creative life and community — art and performance, food and the outdoors — and I’m writing it for you, with local voices, because I’ve gotten to know this rich part of the world as a writer and journalist, and I want to share it with you.
If you’d like to see the website grow, you can join me for a few dollars a month, enough for a cup of coffee and a cider doughnut.
