The gardens open on Friday evenings for sunset hours with drinks and snacks from Naumkeag’s outdoor cafe, live background music and the one of best sunset views in the Berkshires.
The cafe will be open for cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic options — and Naumkeag will have picnic boxes, baked goods and other light bites available. (You can pre-order your picnic box and other light bites here or purchase while on site. Outside food and beverages are not allowed.)
The gates will open at 5 p.m. and close at 7 p.m. with no entry after 7, and Naumkeag encourages signing up ahead, but they will also sell tickets at the door when they have room.
You are welcome to bring your own chairs, small tables or blankets to relax on the lawn, Naumkeag says. A few tables and chairs will be available around the gardens on a first come first serve basis. (Rain or inclement weather will cancel with an opportunity for a full refund. Weather cancellations will be made day-of with a notification by email.)
