Kerry McGinn teaches a flowy vinyasa yoga class in the gardens at Naumkeag, soaking in one of the best sunsets in the Berkshires.
She weaves her knowledge as a Physical Therapist into her practice, she says, challenging her classes to stay present in the sensations of the moment while enjoying moving their bodies and connecting deeper to their inner world.
(She will bring blocks, and she asks students who want mats to please bring their own.)
The yoga class will run for an hour, beginning at 7 p.m., and the gardens will stay open until 8:30, so you can stay and watch the sunset after savasana. The timing of the class will shift based on the time of the sunset.
(Please arrive on time for class, Kerry says, as the front gates will be closed shortly after the class begins. You’ll need to sign up for this one ahead, she says — low enrollment or inclement weather will cancel. (In case of weather, she will an email out on the day with a chance to reschedule or refund.)
