Williamstown Holiday Walk

The 40th Annual Holiday Walk in Williamstown opens with holiday sounds and spirit and festivities with winter flair. The celebration will continue on Friday and Sunday.

Saturday Events

8 a.m. to noon — breakfast with santa at Ioka Valley Farm.

9 a.m. — Run with the reindeer 5k fun run starting at Purple Pub courtyard, sponsored by jumpstart running.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. — Gingerbread house exhibition at nature’s closet. sponsored by sweetwood of williamstown.

11 a.m. — screening of the Grinch at Images Cinema, sponsored by Williamstown cultural district.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Flu & covid-19 vaccine clinic at Walden Street. sponsored by chp berkshires.

Noon to 2 p.m. — WUPE-fm live broadcast

Noon to 2 p.m. — Crafting for kids at the Log by Ramunto’s, sponsored by Pine Cobble School.

Noon to 2 p.m. — Cookie decorating at Spoon Café, sponsored by Buxton School.

Noon to 2 p.m. — Soup-er bowl cook-off at Williams College Lasell Gym (please enter from Main Street). Sponsored by Mountainone and benefiting Williamstown Community Chest.

Noon to 3:30 p.m. — penny social and nonprofit fair at Williams College Lasell Gym (enter from main street). benefiting williamstown community chest.

1 to 3 p.m. — Greeting card writing at first congregational church front steps.

1 to 3 p.m. — Hot chocolate and cookies at the williams inn. sponsored by the williams inn.

1 to 4 p.m. — live a capella music outside Tasha Yoga.

1:30 p.m. — Reindog parade line-up and judging at falk science quad. enter small, medium, large & family troupe categories.

2 p.m. — Reindog parade on spring street. sponsored by southwestern vermont medical center.

2 to 3:30 p.m. — Willinet live

2 to 5 p.m. — Holiday showcase and family crafts at First Congregational Church, benefiting Northern Berkshire Habitat for Humanity.

2 to 5 p.m. — Yuletide treasures pop-up shop at First Congregational Church, vintage and handmade tree ornaments, jewelry and small gifts for sale

2:30 p.m. — Visit with santa claus at the Williams Bookstore, sponsored by Greylock Federal Credit Union.

2:30 to 4:30 p.m. — Art making with the clark at TD bank lobby, sponsored by the Clark Art Institute.

2:30 to 4:30 p.m. — Holiday crafts at the print shop williamstown. sponsored by the print shop williamstown.

2:30 to 5 p.m. — Horse-drawn carriage rides on spring street. sponsored by the clark art institute.

2:30 to 5 p.m. — live DJ

3 to 5 p.m. — Hot cider & s’mores at paresky park (across from images cinema). sponsored by the williamstown D.I.R.E. committee.

3 to 5 p.m. — Warm up @ WCMA at williams college museum of art.

3 to 5 p.m. — Gently-used stuffed toy drive outside Amy’s Cottage hosted by Girl Scout troops 11626 & 3.

4 and 7 p.m. — Lessons and carols holiday service at Thompson Memorial Chapel.

5 p.m. — tree lighting and caroling on the Williams Inn lawn. sponsored by the Williams Inn.

5:15 p.m. — Las posadas: welcoming the stranger starting in front of Thompson Memorial Chapel, sponsored by St. john’s episcopal church.

7 p.m. — Holiday musical bingo at mingo’s sports bar & grill, benefiting Louison house.

Community collections

This December, downtown businesses will be collecting necessary items to help communities in need in the Berkshires, and gathering the following kinds of help from anyone willing to donate.

December 1 to 7: Non-Perishable Festive Food Drive

Local businesses will collect cake, brownie and cookie mixes, frosting, baking supplies, and dried fruits to benefit local pantries.

December 8 to 14: Children and Teens Gift Drive

Local businesses will collect new unwrapped toys, crafts, books, and games to benefit local families.

December 15 to 21: Hat and Mittens Drive

Local businesses will collect new hats, mittens, and gloves to benefit local residents-in-need.
