Berkshire Grown announces their Winter Markets with local grown and produced foods found in the Berkshires — from winter squash, greens and root crops to apples, meats, cheeses, honey and maple syrup, as well as baked goods, jams, ferments and cider — at Eisner Camp in Great Barrington on January 16, February 20, March 27 and April 10. Admission is free, and SNAP/EBT is accepted at all markets.
While they cannot allow guests to eat or drink in the market area, Off the Shelf and North Plain Farm will be selling egg sandwiches and grilled sausages to take home. In the North Adams market at Greylock Works (on Sunday) The Break Room will be open during the market offering their coffee, pastries, breakfast and lunch from a menu focused on regional farmers.
You will need to wear a mask and keep a respectful distance from other shoppers. Berkshire Grown will ask each household to keep to one or two people at the market, and they encourage you to schedule your visit ahead. Be prepared to wait if the market is busy. Hand sanitizer will be on hand.
Both venues offer indoor shopping with plenty of parking. The number of visitors allowed in the market will be limited. Everyone entering the market area will be required to wear masks, and shoppers are encouraged to plan ahead by making a shopping list and sending only one or two household members to the market.
The Great Barrington market will continue monthly through the winter, on January 16, February 20, March 27, April 10, 2021
