Mass Audubon naturalist Zach Adams will reveal the lives of the birds who live in the Berkshires through the winter, in backyards, woods and fields, and talk about how they survive the snow and the deep cold, in a virtual conversations with the West Stockbridge Historical Society.
Adams has studied birds since his childhood, when he fell in love with the sounds of wood ducks and redwing blackbirds in the marshes. He led programs since his teens, on creatures from reptiles to amphibians to skulking sparrows, and he has taught here with Berkshire Sanctuaries since 2018
birding, hiking, tracking and canoeing. He is passionate about ornithology and the chance to share his love for birds with the people around him. Each bird song is a glimpse into a different world, and nothing can deflate the smile when you hear your first warbler sing.
