Winterlights returns to Naumkeag, and 100,000 lights glimmer in the winter gardens at the Choate family’s Gilded Age home in Stockbridge. The Blue Steps glow, and the hemlock trees. The greenhouse holds poinsettias. A bonfire gives a warm place to rest with doughnuts, hot cider or cocoa with a shot of rum. The first floor of the house will open too, but the winter walk heads outdoors, even in snow.

Winterlights will run Thursdays to Sundays (except Thanksgiving Day) from Nov 21 to Dec 29, from 5 to 8 p.m., and on Monday, Dec 23, and Monday and Tuesday, Dec 30 and 31.

Because of the high volume of visitors for this event, Naumkeag’s parking will move off-site to Marian Father’s Shrine of Devine Mercy, with a shuttle from the parking area to Naumkeag. Please use the entrance at the end of Pine Street (GPS Coordinates 42.291684, -73.308797).
