Log Lunch — Sustainable fisheries

A tradition of the Center since 1972, Log Lunches are held on Fridays through the college year at noon at the Log at 78 Spring St. in Williamstown. Each week, Williams students prepare and serve a vegetarian lunch, followed by a talk on an environmental topic. Students and faculty speak, as well as local, national and international organizations.

What the Jews Believe

Dave and his family still live in the old home built by his father in rural Central Texas, and they are still the only Jewish family in town, in What the Jews Believe, Berkshire Theatre Group's fall play in the Unicorn Theatre, a story about the loss of faith and the journey to find it.

The Alchemystics

The Alchemystics will play HiLo in North Adams. Fueled by their passion to explore beyond the edges of traditional musical boundaries and their diverse ethnic and musical backgrounds, the Alchemystics blend reggae, politically infused hip-hop, soul, rock and pulsing Jamaican, Cuban and Trinidadian rhythms into an original sound.

Studio’62: Outer Space, Outer Time

Studio’62 actors will perform original works from the 2019 season — a seven-week summer program for Williams undergrads with an intensive, collaborative immersion in making theatre with master classes, workshops with resident artists and collaborative independent projects.

Fall planetarium shows at Williams College

Williams College invites the community to travel the skies at the Milham Planetarium, inside the Old Hopkins Observatory. The high-precision Zeiss Skymaster ZKP3/B opto-mechanical planetarium projector will show phenomena from motions of the planets to phases of the moon and more.

Grain Thief in concert

Grain Thief, a five-piece Americana string band from Boston, will bring a night of acoustic music to the Egremont Barn. The group includes Patrick Mulroy (guitar, vocals), Zach Meyer (mandolin, vocals), Michael Harmon (bass, vocals), Tom Farrell (lead guitar), and Alex Barstow (fiddle).

Lion’s Den: Jeanne Laurin and John Sauer

Jeanne Laurin and John Sauer will perform a rich harmonic blend of piano and vocals in the Lion's Den pub at the Red Lion Inn. Regional musicians perform most nights year-round in the Lion’s Den Pub: Folk, blues, rock and jazz 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Williamstown Farmers Market

Duck egg tacos with hot sausage and greens? Baklava and fresh moussaka? The Williamstown Farmers Market is growing. Farmers, food producers, artists and artisans will gather in the expanded parking lot at the end of Spring Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday into October.
