Writers series: Bringing down the Colonel

Awardwinning journalist Patricia Miller will speak at the Mount in Lenox about her book, 'Bringing Down the Colonel: A Sex Scandal of the Gilded Age,' the story of Madeline Pollard, an unlikely 19th-century women’s rights crusader. Evenings at Naumkeag

One of the best sunset spots in the Berkshires may be Naumkeag, the gilded age Choate family house and gardens now kept as a historic site by the Trustees of Reservations.
