Looking for a peach turnover, a corn taco, a crèpe with local goat cheese? Restaurants and cafés are open across the Berkshires for indoor takeout and food to go, and some for delivery. Many are offering careful ways to dine indoors or out, though their choices can change from season to season.

Shire Doughnuts serves warm, fresh, made-to-order donuts with hundreds of toppings including build-your-own — from classics like chocolate iced to apple crisp, lemon pie and red velvet with cream cheese. Open for pickup 7 to 11 a.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday and Sunday. They also serve coffee and cocoa and daily baked goods. They encourage pre-ordering by the half-dozen or the dozen, and because they make their donuts fresh each morning, they have to limit the number of pre-orders they can juggle each day. To reserve your order, choose a day to schedule a pickup. The family-owned, woman-owned Becket General Store has changed its name and now offers a cafe serving nachos and wings, sandwiches and burgers and hearty pub fare from plank salmon to pasta and fish and chips to pot roast. The back of the shop acts as a classic liquor store and cannabis dispensary, and the cafe hosts live bands or karaoke on many Saturday nights.
