Pick-your-own berries and Garden Center
From spring to fall, the farm market and plant nursery on Route 8 is open with greens, fruits and vegetables — strawberries, summer squashes, tomatoes. In season they carry their own produce, and in late summer they grow some of the sweetest corn in the hills.
In late July and early August, they run pick-your-own blueberries in the fields up behind the barn. And in the fall they carry local apples: Macouns and Cortlands, Honeycrisp and more.
In the market they carry pastas and sauces, nuts and cheeses and locally made groceries, and they also have a deli counter with sandwiches and rotisserie chicken, and baked goods, pies, cider doughnuts … You can picnic outside near the ice cream stand and a whimsical playgrouhd of wooden structures to climb on.
The garden center opens in April with herbs and flowers, annuals and perennials (some native and some newcomers), hanging baskets … You can walk through the greenhouses and around long outdoor tables of shade plants and herbs, marigolds and nasturtiums. They carry fruit trees and berry bushes too. They also make their own and mulch and straw etc. And in the winter they gather holiday plants and evergreens.
