ARKAI is an award-winning electroacoustic duo that has inspired audiences around the world through its genre-defying string music. Graduates of The Juilliard School, their past engagements have included performances at The Met Museum, Carnegie Hall, Public Theater, World Trade Center, US Air Force Academy, Lincoln Center, Musikfest, and Chateau Marmont.

Their electronic debut composition, “Letters from COVID”, was featured at TED@PMI for a global audience of over 30,000 people from 182 countries. Recent highlights include opening for Oscar and Grammy-winning musician Jon Batiste at NYC’s Javits Center.

As creative collaborators, ARKAI was commissioned by the Museum of Chinese in America to compose a work for their exhibition Responses: Asian Americans Resisting the Tides of Racism. Other commissions have included a piece for Silver Lining Ltd’s Impact 5X initiative — a global economic justice project supporting hundreds of small business owners from underserved communities around the world.

Through the U.S. Department of State and the Association of American Voices, ARKAI has engaged in exchange programs with underserved audiences around the world with little or no access to American music, demonstrating the power of cultural diplomacy as a tool to bring people together.

ARKAI recently joined the 2023 voting member class of The Recording Academy (GRAMMYs). In collaboration with Grammy-winning producer Jonas W. Karlsson, ARKAI’s debut album will be released in 2024. ARKAI is a winner of the 2021 Astral Artists National Competition.

Seating and bar open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30. This event is indoors.

A note from the Foundry — Parking is limited at the venue so please use the three public parking lots in Town.
