Stockbridge lights up with holiday wreaths and festive events, as the town celebrates with live performances, historic tours, holiday markets, Winterlights at Naumkeag and more.

Capping off the weekend, on Sunday the town reenacts the spirit of Norman Rockwell’s holiday scene, Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas, with vintage automobiles parked in the spots occupied in the painting.

Friday

Olga Dunn Dance Company performs ‘The Nutcracker Seedling’ with a Nutcracker Collection Display at 5 p.m., presented by the Stockbridge Library. Admission is Free.

Winter lights at Naumkeag — In the holiday season, the gardens sparkle with thousands of shimmering, artfully designed holiday lights. Bring the whole family for a magical, fun, and safe outdoor experience – with food, refreshments and more. You will need to get tickets ahead.

Saturday

Berkshire Botanical Garden — The annual gallery of wreathes and Holiday Marketplace returns Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

First Congregational Church Holy Fair — Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Rockwell Holidays and Eloise & More — Saturday and Sunday, explore the new exhibit, The Art of Hilary Knight at Norman Rockwell Museum, a retrospective of the artist, illustrator and co-creator of the Eloise books.

You can also see Rockwell’s original panorama painting of Main Street Stockbridge at Christmas and holiday images exhibitions, with weekend activities, tours, family art-making, story-telling and more.

Winter Family Fun Day and Nutcracker Collection Display — Stockbridge Library will have a craft table available where children can decorate a snowflake, indoor winter games and a scavenger hunt, and an outdoor StoryWalk© and decorated gardens to walk through, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. At 10:45 a.m. they will offer a winter-themed storytime with the youth librarian.

Historic Holiday Tours — From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., visit historic houses all decked out for the holidays. This self-guided tour will include the Mission House with warming fires, The Merwin House with treats, Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum with holiday music, High Lawn Farm Museum and The Old Rectory. You will need to wear a mask indoors.

Holiday Makers Market — Prado de Lana Sheep Farm will hold a gathering of local makers, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hot Beverage Pop-up — Sip a hot drink on the Front Porch of the Red Lion Inn from noon to 3 p.m.

Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas — Holiday Concert with The Berkshire Bach Players from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at the First Congregational Church.

Winter Wonderland Walkway — On Saturday and Sunday, all are invited to take a stroll through 16 lit and decorated trees at the Stockbridge Library, always free.

Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas~ From noon to 2 p.m., see Main Street as Norman Rockwell did when he painted, with over 50 antique cars parked along the street (weather permitting) and a full range of festive activities, from Roger the Jester to photo ops with Norman Rockwell, and outdoor Holiday Makers Market, food booths at The Red Lion Inn Back of the Bank Courtyard Bar and Taco Alebrijes.

Hear holiday music by the Victorian Carolers and Monument Mountain Regional High School. Children may have their face painted and enjoy Stories & Crafts and complete the day with a visit from Santa and his Reindeer. Horse drawn wagon rides by Clay Hill Farm will also be available.
