Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas

The town of Stockbridge, well-known from Norman Rockwell’s painting of the village during the holidays, celebrates with wreaths and lights, live performances, historic tours, holiday markets, Winterlights and more.

On Sunday the town reenacts the spirit of Norman Rockwell’s famous holiday scene Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas with vintage cars.

December 1

Olga Dunn Dance Company — performance “The Nutcracker Seedling” — 5 p.m. at the Stockbridge Library. The event is free, but you’ll need to save your space ahead, as seats are limited.

Historic Holiday Tour — 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A self-guided tour highlights the Devonfield Inn, The Merwin House Ventfort Hall with holiday music and The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home. You’ll need to save your space ahead, as seats are limited

Olga Dunn Dance Company — performance “The Nutcracker Seedling” — 2:30 p.m. and again at 3:30 p.m. — at the Stockbridge Library. Both events are free, but you’ll need to save your space ahead, as seats are limited.

Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas Holiday Concert and Group Sing-Along — 7 to 8:15 p.m. at the First Congregational Church ofStockbridge. Celebrate the magic of the season with a classical light musical program and group sing-along with The Berkshire Bach Players with Roberta Cooper on cello, Eugene Drucker on viola and violin, Laura Hamilton on violin and Mariken Palmboom on harpsichord and organ.

Winterlights at Naumkeag — Friday, Saturday and Sunday This holiday season the beautiful garden property sparkle with thousands of shimmering, artfully designed holiday lights for a magical, fun, outdoor experience – with food, refreshments, and more.

December 3

Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas Recreation — Noon to 2 p.m., see Main Street as Norman Rockwell did, with more than 25 antique cars parked along the street (weather permitting) and festive activities — Roger the Jester and photo ops with Norman Rockwel, an outdoor Holiday Makers Market, food booths at The Red Lion Inn Back of the Bank Courtyard Bar. Hear holiday music by the Victorian Carolers and Monument Mountain Regional High School face painting for children and Stories and Crafts anda visit from Santa and his Reindeer — and Horse drawn wagon rides by Clay Hill Farm will also be available.
